What a turnaround from last week’s trying conditions. A balmy summer’s evening without a breath of wind brought 24 teams out once again on our beautiful Payneham greens.
You had to be good tonight.
- The Couldabeens, The Misfits and The Knight Riders all had very respectable scores of 32 or more.
- At the other end of the scoring we had some very close results with 6 games decided by 4 shots or less. Only takes a couple of bowls to change and the result to flip.
- How about San Marco. Previously undefeated and current champions Marche had their colours lowered by the much improved and fast finishing San Marco. Keep up the good bowls.
Winners of the night were The Knight Riders on a very impressive 33 points and 25 shots up. Well done to Wayne, Any, Hans and Malcolm. Job well done.
Jackpot number of + 26 whilst high was always a chance given some of the night’s results. Close…but not close enough…was tonight’s winners on + 25. Unlucky for them but lucky for everyone else with 120 bucks on the table next week.
