After a delayed start to the season we finally got out of our living rooms and onto the greens for another round of night owls bowling.
We were a few teams down but hopefully those missing will return once the dust settles and to again try their luck on the magnificent Payneham greens.
A quick reshuffle of the draw saw 20 teams playing with the usual results. Some games close, some games not so close and some better forgotten…depending on what side of the result you were on. Good for some…not so good for others.
The nightly winner result was as close as it has ever been.
- The Gamblers ended up with a very respectable score of 32 points and 20 shots up. Normally this score would be more than enough to win the night… BUT…
- Pipping them by 1 solitary point with 32 points and 21 shots up. Well done to Ray, Dennis, Jim and Nigel from The Latecomers. How this for coincidence. The Latecomers won the last night of the season last year with the same score…SPOOKY
Resting toucher went to Wendy from The Red Devils. Watch for Wendy’s smiling face on our Wall of Fame.
Jackpot number was + 29 with no one even close so 60 bucks up for grabs next week.
To all our bowlers. At the end of last season who would have thought that the state would be in virtual lock down just 3 short weeks later. We assume and hope that situation will improve. Only the future will determine whether this is true or not. In the meantime enjoy the freedoms we have and hope to see you all again back at the club soon.
