At the risk of repeating myself…what a difference a week makes. From almost perfect conditions, warm and still, straight back to the middle of winter. Cold…cold…cold. At least it didn’t rain.
Never the less the cold weather did little to dampen the spirits of the 20 hardy teams who turned out for another round on our wonderful Payneham greens.
All results were surprisingly close.
3 games decided by one solitary shot.
- Gold Rollers over The Rolling Stones who coughed up top spot on the ladder.
- Scorpions won with only 6 ends to The River Rats 9 ends but took the points
- 3 Plus One who have had a flying start to the season over the slow starting Dreamers
At the other end of the table the winners of the night for the second time this season were The Four Amigos with a very modest score of 31 points and only 6 shots up. Those 6 shots proved to be a winner because the jackpot number was…you guessed it… + 6. Well done Gino, Tony, Frank and Francis. Cash and carry (the wine that is)
Resting toucher went late in the game. Congratulations to Nifty from The Emery Road All Stars and watch for Nev’s smiling face on our wall of fame.
