With the weather on the improve and a great night for bowls brought an almost full turn out of teams onto our beautiful Payneham greens and what a night it was!!!
The top teams are all getting edgy and so there were plenty of surprise results. Just ask the Bad Boys. They had the game under control only to drop the last 6 ends in a row and end up losing to The 3 Regions by a solitary point. As the saying goes…it ain’t over til the fat lady sings
5 teams won by 30 points or more. Last Drinks, Blackhill Boomers (top of the table but with threats all around) Gully Gallopers (finishing fast but need to make up ground) and San Marco.
However winners of the night were The Optimists who have reversed a form slump and are looking dangerous. Well done Flo, Kevin, Mark and Lindsay.
Some big games to be played over the next few weeks which will sort the wheat from the chaff. Nothing is set in stone.
Jackpot number was -34…not a chance…so next week 180 bucks up for grabs…well worth staying back for.
