With all our ducks in a row it all comes down to the final night to decide the winner. All of the top team match ups had not played against each other and so it was head to head cut throat bowling and some big scores ensued.

In the wash-up and after the dust settled and the smoke cleared…Last Drinks (who were second) finished in fifth place. Marche jumped up to second and 3 Regions with their big score came in third.
Winners of the night were the current champions 3 Regions. Well done to Luke, Carmine, Frank and Frank. Keep up the good bowls and better luck next season.
And now for the BIG one.
Winners of the season and with their names on the trophy for the 2nd time were The Knight Riders on 231 points. Well done Greg, Andy, Hans and Wayne. It has been a while but I am sure you will be around the mark again next year.
In second place we had the ever reliable Marche on 223 points. Another solid season from a very good team. In third place we had the before mentioned 3 Regions on 218 points and in fourth place The Couldabeens finished the season strongly on a score of 199 points.
First attempt at the jackpot of 270 bucks gave us a very achievable result of – 12. This was always a chance and sure enough 2 teams The Old Italians and Wrecking Ball shared the loot. Just goes to show there is more than 1 way to be a winner at the Payneham Bowling Club.
Our end of year challenge is shaping up to be a real beauty. First round is scheduled for Thursday 23 March. Get your team in for a chance at one of 6 cash prizes. Would love to see as many teams as possible out and supporting our great bowls community.
